Josh founded Burners Cigar Co., a premier cigar shop in Birkdale Village, in 2011, establishing a go-to destination for premium cigars and knowledgeable guidance in the Lake Norman area. A Charlotte firefighter since 2008, he built the business alongside a career devoted to public service.
Over the years, Burners grew to cater to both experienced cigar enthusiasts and customers discovering their preferences in gentleman's goods. That approach carried into the Denver location: offering a thoughtful selection, sharing knowledge freely, and making people feel comfortable asking questions.
Josh's entrepreneurial work also includes Burners Bottle Shop in Charlotte’s Mallard Creek area, which he owns with his wife, Meghan. Each business has its own unique personality, united by an emphasis on selection, hospitality, and community.
Ross Bulla: Business Experience, Community Roots
Ross is the founder and president of The Treadstone Group, Inc., where he assists clients in acquiring trademarks, domain names, and other intellectual property. His career includes international investigations along with substantial experience in security and public safety.
Closer to home, Ross has dedicated much of his time to organizations that support children, families, and the Lincoln County community. His involvement features leadership roles with the Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Club, past board service with the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center, and work as a certified child forensic interviewer.
Additionally, Ross has used his love for premium cigars and bourbon to bring people together for charitable fundraising, which supports services for children affected by abuse. This blend of personal interests and community involvement seamlessly transitions into his role at Burners, a prominent cigar shop specializing in gentleman's goods.
